Before you book

Before you book, you may want to check our normal opening times.

If you think your appointment may take some time, please ask for a double appointment.

Book an appointment

To book an appointment you can either:


You need to be at least 17 years old.

You need your SystmOnline username and password.

Get a SystmOnline account

To register with SystmOnline you need to fill in a form that you can get from the surgery.

When you come to the surgery bring proof of identity, for example a passport or driving licence.

The i-HEART phoneline is open on:

  • Monday to Friday, 4pm to 6pm
  • weekends and bank holidays, 8am to 9.30am

Cancelling an appointment

If you cannot keep an appointment, let us know as soon as possible so that we can give it to someone else.

At your appointment

If you arrive late

If you’re more than 5 minutes late for your appointment, we’ll ask if you want to either:

  • wait to be seen - this could take several hours
  • book another appointment

If you’re more than 9 minutes late, we’ll ask you to book another appointment.

Face coverings at the surgery


Throughout the pandemic we have strived to make the surgery as safe as possible for all of our patients and staff. We will continue to do so going forward.

At the surgery patients still need to wear a mask, socially distance and use hand sanitiser in the surgery. Staff will continue to wear PPE.

We do understand that it can be frustrating but we know that when people come to us they are sick and vulnerable so we feel it would be wrong to not take these small precautions that will protect people.

In terms of opening up, as many of you know, we have never been shut and in fact have consulted with much higher numbers of patients then we did pre-COVID (face to face, by phone, by eConsult and by video), not counting vaccinating the local adult population against COVID-19.

Our surgery has come so far in trying to minimise the impact of COVID and we are sure you understand that we need to keep the surgery as safe for all patients as we can.

If the surgery is closed

If the situation is urgent and you do not know what to do, you can:

  • go to (for people aged 5 and over only)
  • call 111

NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Call 999 if it's a medical emergency

Call 999 if someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
